Prosper Foundation
The Prosper Foundation has been established to:
- Raise the awareness of Prosperity and working with organisations to improve or increase Prosperity in their lives or within the lives of those they support. Prosper Ltd pledges to donate 10% of their profit to the Prosper Foundation on an annual basis.
- We also encourage our networks to run fundraising activities at launch or at special events where raffle monies etc will be donated to the Prosper Foundation.
The charities that Prosper Foundation will support, will receive support for a minimum of 3 years, therefore enabling the charity and Prosper to build a relationship and planned awareness raising opportunities to benefit all.
The foundation not only supports the charities it supports with funds, but also supports the charities in kind by supporting them to make grant submissions, run their organisations more efficiently and successfully and to just be a friend when the charities need a help in hand across any aspect of running a charity.
The Prosper Foundation is managed by a board of trustees who are:
- Cheryl Bass – Chair
- Ralph Bettany – Treasurer
- Dennis Elliot - Secretary
- Denise Jones – Advisor
- Sarah Emanuel – Charities Interface
To date Prosper has pledged support to 4 charities:
- City Care – A Cardiff Based Charity that advises women who face pregnancy crises issues.

- Mercy Ships - Offers a compassionate response to crisis around the world. The Mercy Ships are manned by volunteers who fund themselves to travel on the ships. The Mercy Ships dock at ports that have people who need medical care where there is none available in the part of the world where they live.

- Mid Glamorgan Youth Project - A new initiative started by Anne Morgan – High Sherriff of Mid Glamorgan to reward young people under the age of 21 who have helped their local neighbourhood, an individual, family or local organisation. We have pledged £600 a year for 3 years to this charity and to have our own Prosper award that will involve us selecting the group or individual ourselves. Gerrit Bantjes has agreed to help the trustees with their selection.
- The Ray Gravel Charity - A Swansea based charity that supports a host of local charitable causes.
As charities are identified or are approached requests are dealt with on a case by case basis.
Meetings of the trustees will take place on a six weekly basis and take place at the Prosper Cowbridge offices.
